If you’ve ever worried

that your kids won’t sit still or “smile nicely” for photos, take a deep breath because that’s not what I want from them at all.

My sessions are built around play, connection, and movement. When you step in front of my camera, I don’t want you to stress about stiff smiles, perfect poses, or telling your children to behave. Instead, I want you to come ready to laugh, snuggle, explore, and play.

Here’s why:

-Kids are free and wild by nature. Forcing them to stand still usually creates stress — for them and for you. Letting them play brings out genuine joy and authentic smiles.

-Connection photographs better than perfection. A real belly laugh or a quiet forehead kiss will mean so much more than a forced grin.

-It’s easier on you as parents. You don’t have to rehearse or remind your kids to smile. I’ll guide you through prompts, games, and moments that naturally bring out laughter and love.

During our time together, I’ll ask about your children’s favorite things, tell stories with them, and often bring little surprises that connect to their interests. If your child loves airplanes, I’ll make sure we include one and when their face lights up, that’s the photo you’ll want to frame.

I also don’t rush my sessions. Kids need time to warm up, especially in new places. By allowing space for exploration and play, I give them the freedom to be themselves and that’s when the magic happens.

To help you prepare, here are a few simple tips:

-Outfits matter most. I provide a client closet with timeless gowns for moms (fitting XS–XL, maternity and non-maternity), as well as curated styles for children. We’ll coordinate around mom’s outfit first, then build the rest of the family’s look with soft neutrals, layers, and natural textures.

-Skip the stiff fabrics. Chiffon and polyester don’t move as well in photos. Instead, think linen, cotton, or corduroy — textures that flow and feel organic.

-Relax, and trust the process. You don’t need to tell your children to look at me or smile. Just show up, love on them, and let me do the rest.

At the end of the day, my sessions aren’t about creating perfect pictures. They’re about capturing your family’s story. And stories are always best told through laughter, connection, and play.
